Kindness Begets Kindness

Need of the hour is extending our helping hand towards our brethren and making them feel wanted by one and all. The ravaging Covid-19 has left many kids and septuagenarians without anyone to look after them. Human beings are looking towards human beings for the show of brotherhood asking them to bring their humane qualities, that all of us have as an ingrained and inborn trait, to the fore and make this unfortunate incident turn into a reward for them in this world and the life hereafter. We, all worship our creator and our Creator loves them and has special rewards for those who love His creation. There have been innumerable occasions where we have noticed even wild animals helping other animals, that they used to feed upon, in their time of need. We are human beings, the best of creation, ‘Ashraful Makhluqat’, therefore we must prove that and come out of all other religious, caste and creed considerations and help each other recover their miseries.  We know that "kindness begets kindness". Consider the following beautiful Hadees in this regard:

It is mercy which Allah has lodged in the heart of His slaves, and Allah is Merciful only to those of His slaves who are merciful (to others). Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 1284

Let Us Forget Our Differences

We are born with difference ingrained in our personalities and it is from Allah, the Most Merciful as He says:

....and made you into races and tribes, so that you may identify one another. (Surah Al-Hujurat- 13) — Mufti Taqi Usmani

It is Allah’s wisdom that He created made us into races and tribes but the human being has always been commanded to respect the brotherhood and the differences among us. This is one of the most appropriate time to forget our differences and unite against the difficult days we are facing. We will have enough time, ‘Insha’Allah’ to talk, to discuss our various religions and decide who among us is right or who is wrong but before that, we have to pray for humanity to be cured and act to save humanity first.

Selfless Fight To Save The World Of Its Danger Of The Century

Our selfless fight to save the world of its danger of the century by asking Allah, the Ash-Shaafee for cure and sympathy will heal us of all our wounds. We should take all kinds of precautions like medical treatment and have faith in Allah, the Ash-Shafi (The Healer) for the cure of our illness. Allah, the All-knower is very well aware of the pain and grief His creation is facing today and promises respite and rewards in the world and hereafter to them for their resolve of patience during the time of adversity. The Holy Quran says:

Surely We will test you with a bit of fear and hunger, and loss in wealth and lives and fruits, and give good tidings to the patient. (Surah Al-Baqarah - 155) — Mufti Taqi Usmani

... who, when calamity befalls them, say, "Verily, unto God do we belong and, verily, unto Him we shall return." (Ayah al-Baqarah:156) - Muhammad Asad

Consider the following Ahadees that establish the norm that there is no illness without cure and no matter how serious or as harmless as pricking of a thorn it is, it expiates the sufferers' sin and there is a cure of every kind of disease:

No tiredness, exhaustion, worry, grief, distress or harm befalls a believer in this world, not even a thorn that pricks him, but Allah expiates some of his sins thereby. (Sahih Al-Bukhari)

Allah has sent down the disease and the cure and has made every disease the cure.  (Sunan Abi Daoud)

Pains and the Sufferings of the Prophets of Allah and  His Chosen Servants And Their Cure

Various tribes and communities and so much so that even Prophets and His The chosen servants have been put to test by Allah, the Most Merciful as He says in the Holy Quran in Surah Al-Baqarah, ‘Surely We will test you with a bit of fear and hunger, and loss in wealth and lives and fruits. In the end, all those who did not lose their faith in God and patience were cured and will be rewarded in their lives hereafter. We must have patience in His graciousness, kindness and being Ash-Shaafee. Consider the following Ayat and have faith in God that the world will be cured of the illness brought by the devastating Covid-19, as And none is like Him. (Surah Al-Ikhlas - 4) - Muhammed Ali.

The world will also get respite from the present dangerous situation as Prophet Ibrahim (AS), got a respite from his adversities. For them the Holy Quran has the following Ayaat:

“…Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me. And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink; and when I am ill, it is He who cures me; and who will cause me to die and then bring me to life; and who, I hope, will forgive me my faults on the Day of Judgment.” (Quran 26:78-85).

The human being must rest assure that the graciousness, the mercy and the kindness of Allah, the Almighty will, Alhamdulillah, cure us of the illness Covid-19 has brought, as the Holy Quran says in the above mentioned Ayat, ‘and when I am ill, it is He who cures me;’.

The news reports from around the world are soothing and reassuring that humanity is at work as all the noble souls among us are contributing towards the cure of the ailment of the human being around the world irrespective of the religion, region, caste and creed, and colour of our skin.

May Allah, the Most Merciful and the Ash-Shaafee bless the world with cure from the sufferings we are in today, tomorrow and always. Ameen

And Allah knows the best.
